I spent a balmy 9 weeks here before my current posting with Trade Services. My time here was great. Not only was I taught the basics in Accounting, Forex and Investment Banking, Personal Banking, Credit Analysis, Trade Services and many other topics, I was also given detailed information about the strategic direction of the Group as well as what is expected of HSBC Executives.
More importantly however, I had the chance to set up an important network of fellow colleagues from every department and from all over the world, which is what makes it possible for HSBC to make full use of its global network to serve our customers better. What is most important however, is not only are my batchmates important network contacts for my future career with HSBC, they have also become some of my most treasured friends.
